Reading and playing lots of chess. Another thing to do is to find some where quite and think for HOURS. Think about all your problems and then about all kinds of ways you can solve them. The goal is not to become the smartest person in the world but to make your life better and easier-(that's what life is all about).The most important thing of them all is to control all of your stress(therapeutic relieve) and anger.No one can think straight without proper sleep and under huge amounts of stress/pressure. Good day Alux.com. Once again thank you for making valuable information. I always listen to your podcast every day, and sometimes read your blog, and your Instagram posts. About the cussing part... I do believed that the study is misleading. It is not the swear words that make the participants tolerate pain more, but just the fact that they spoke out their discomfort. That part of the science experiment can encourage bad manners that isn't helpful for an aspiring aluxers who want to win at life, just like how this channel had inspired me to do, in the long run. According to Lao Tsu "watch your thoughts it become words, watch your words it become action, watch your actions it become habits, watch your habits it become your destiny" Once again thank you. Cussing isn't a sign of intellect, it's the exact opposite. It shows the world that you have a limited vocabulary in the native language that you've spent your entire life communicating with. Cussing doesn't show that you're 'more honest', it shows that you have difficulty keeping your emotions and attitudes in check. It also shows that you have a lack of respect for others and even for yourself.

You know how to actually know if your the smartest, go get an iq test and if you score significantly above 100 then your probably smarter than everyone you know. Example, if you score above 110 your really smart.

Hello Alux, I am quite a fan of your channel and often watch your interesting videos. But this one seems to be have some contradictions. For instance: a person who swears a lot, shows lack of self-discipline because generally this trait is not considered well-bred even if so you continue to do so, well, may be you just like doing it but doesn't strike me as smart person. You also say that a smart person has highr emotional intelligence however I can't see how a person with higher EI who can put himself/herself in other people's shoes would find people who cannot be friends with them.

The problem is I took an oath about not ever swearing. But just in special cases I can, for example s..xual interaction. since its improve the action. most of this is right on the money, though I'm not sure how much credence I can give to some of the psychobabble crap. EQ is useful, for instance, and needs to be developed. It is not, however, the be all and end all that the author of the book would have you believe. Nor is IQ, BTW. You want a gauge of how intelligent someone is? Two things: their eyes will tell you - deep contemplation becomes obvious in the eyes. And scan their sense of humor - does it range all over the map? Or do they only tell and laugh at crude jokes? Seeing the humor in all sorts of situations is a clear indicator of an active imagination. And an active imagination is the clearest indicator of intelligence.
