I don't know if anybody from Paramount reads these comments, but I'd just like to say that Lower Decks has been a flippin' breath of fresh air for me in the Star Trek universe. I have somewhat strong, at best mixed opinions about Picard and DISCO, but honestly Lower Decks is literally everything I want and love in a Star Trek show, so please keep it up! (Bonus: If you wanted to you could, say, do a spin off of Lower Decks, except maybe it's an hour long, and performed by live actors, you know, to subvert expectations, then if you either took out, or way, way tuned down the humor, maybe limited to one character or one "gag" a week, you could have a real break out hit on your hands! Might be worth thinking about, I know I'd watch it.)

DS9 was by far the realist show of trek. You had characters people could really relate to. Nog was one of them. He was just a kid who wanted to be more than he was played brilliantly by Aron. Odo's character was tailor-made for the show, René and Aron will forever be trek legends

Is THE second season of Picard airing this year or not? There's are only two shows that I watch on Paramount and both of them are star trek. Both of them have very short seasons and frankly I can't justify paying for a streaming channel for a whole year for 2 shows with a limited number of episodes that seems to air on an irregular schedule. And do not blame this on the Pandemic.

F.C. has been broadcast over the past few nights on the Paramount (Plus?) channel, I realized that it will be 25 years since a couple of my friends (who are really Star Wars fans, but who decided to humor me for an evening) and I saw it in the movie theatres in November of 1996. About halfway through, we were all in awe because of how well its storyline transcended the Star Trek franchise, that it really was much more than simply another Trekker sci-fi film, taking elements of action, drama, historical fiction, as well as the human condition into its script. Certainly one of the best Star Trek films produced.

Guys release Star Trek movies on 4K UHD blu-ray already. Also will be waiting for UHD for Discovery and Picard. These new shows are so awesome I have to see them in HDR.

Hehe, I was going to say at the start of the story when Brent says it was a stunt double. I remember that scene and it certainly looked like Brent sailing through the air. Lots of respect for him taking his fear head on like that for the shot. He could have just said nope, not doing it, CGI my head on there or reframe the shot so the stunt double can do it, whatever. (head replacement probably wasn't a thing back then though) But no, he did the shot and it looked really good. I always appreciated those moments when they would highlight Data's strength or other superhuman attributes.
